Mrs Kalinowski
Head of Sixth Form & Assistant Headteacher
Welcome to Newlands Sixth Form — a place buzzing with ambition, opportunity and the belief that you can do incredible things.
As Head of Sixth Form, I’m committed to giving every student a rich, vibrant and diverse education that opens doors, builds confidence and helps you shape the future you want. Here, you’re not just supported — you’re championed.
Newlands is a Sixth Form where you step up, stand out and discover what you’re capable of. You’ll take on leadership roles that matter, dive into super‑curricular experiences that stretch your thinking, and get involved in extra‑curricular opportunities that make your time here unforgettable. Whether you’re leading a team, launching a project, exploring a passion or preparing for your next big step, you’ll find people around you who believe in you and push you to shine.
What makes Newlands special is simple: our students. Their drive, their kindness, their curiosity — and the way our staff walk beside them, every step of the way. This is a community that lifts you up, celebrates your strengths and helps you grow into the person you want to become.
I hope you feel inspired as you explore what our Sixth Form has to offer. Your journey starts here — and we can’t wait to see where it takes you.

“Our role is simple: to know each student, champion their strengths, and help them grow into the young adults they’re ready to become.”

Our Careers Advisor supports students as they explore their ambitions, refine their goals, and make confident decisions about life after Sixth Form. Through one‑to‑one guidance, workshops, and tailored advice, they help students understand their strengths, discover new pathways, and navigate everything from university applications to apprenticeships and employment. Their role is to ensure every student feels informed, empowered and ready for the future they want to build.
