Joining Newlands Sixth Form is an exciting next step, and every year we welcome students from Maidenhead and beyond who are ready to specialise in the subjects they love and shape their future pathways.
Our Sixth Form application site for 2027 entry will open on the 26th November 2026.
Newlands Sixth Form is a place where students are encouraged to take initiative, grow in confidence and develop the compassion to support others. Alongside excellent teaching and strong outcomes, we offer a supportive environment where every girl is known, challenged and inspired.

How to Apply
1. Explore our Courses
Review the full list of A level and Level 3 qualifications available, along with entry requirements for each subject.
2. Visit Our Sixth Form
Attend our Open Evening, explore subjects and ask questions about life in the Sixth Form.
3. Complete the Online Application
Submit your application through our Sixth Form application site. You will be asked to select your preferred subjects and provide predicted grades.
4. Receive a Conditional Offer
Offers are based on predicted grades and subject entry requirements. Full details will be provided in your offer letter.
6. Confirm Your Place on Results Day
Once GCSE results are released, students confirm their place and finalise subject choices with the Sixth Form team.

Who can apply to Newlands Sixth Form?
We welcome applications from both Newlands students and external applicants from Maidenhead and beyond.
Do I need specific GCSE grades?
Each subject has its own entry requirements. These are listed on our application site and should be reviewed carefully before applying.
Can I apply for more than three subjects?
Most students study three subjects. A fourth subject (including EPQ) may be discussed during your guidance meeting.
What if I change my mind about subjects?
Subject changes can be discussed at your guidance meeting or on Results Day, depending on availability and entry requirements.
Do you offer support for university, apprenticeships and careers?
Yes. All students receive tailored guidance from our Careers Advisor and Sixth Form team throughout Years 12 and 13.
Is there a deadline for applications?

Do external applicants need a reference?
Yes. External applicants will need a school reference confirming predicted grades and suitability for chosen subjects
